Modeling Step One

Draw Chute in AutoCAD

The transfer chute is drawn in 3 Dimensions in AutoCAD. The belts, pulleys and injection points must be drawn on specific drawing layers.

Basic flat surfaces are drawn using 3D Faces. More complicated curved surfaces are best drawn using AutoCAD 3D Mesh, Edge, Revolved Surface, Tabulated Surface, Ruled Surface, and Edge Surface functions.

The model can be drawn in either US units (inches) or international units (millimeters).

The file is saved in a dxf format to import into the Chute Maven software.
